From The Mighty Matterhorn. Posted by Jeff Skop on 2/10/2009 (15 items)
- First Day in Zermatt
- Our first few nights were spent at Hotel Bristol.
- There were some very upscale hotels in Zermatt
- Narrow shopping streets add to the town's charm.
- The 3rd day we awoke to bluebird skies.
- The mighty Matterhorn…never got tired of looking at it.
- Lots of quaint places to eat lunch on the slopes
- What is CK doing?
- There were many different types of transportation used in the ski areas: trams, train…
- mountain goats were strolling around the ski slopes
- I'm going to make this pano into a poster and frame it.
- This is a restaurant at the bottom of our favorite run.

Since my days in college when I read Plato's Analogy of the Cave, I've been a disciple of Socrates and attempted to live by his motto: "The unexamined Life is not worth Living". This philosophy has moved me through a spectrum of scientific and spiritual interests, two topics most believe are at odds, but for me a paradox worth examining. The bounty of natural beauty, human pleasures, diversity in people & ideas, music, sports, last but not least travel, all make this journey worth living. I am a hippie traveler looking for truth wherever that may lead...and so the story continues.
